This muscle originates on the breastbone and attaches to the humerus bone near the shoulder joint. The pectoralis minor is a smaller muscle located under the pec major. This muscle originates in the middle ribs and attaches to the scapula at the coracoid process. This muscle is used mainly in moving your shoulders in a shrugging motion.
